I didn’t get past the first choice, one of obsessions. The text was Mark 1:21-28 in which Jesus – early in his ministry – encounters the man in the synagogue with the unclean spirit. And the man says, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.”
There are two very different characters in this incident. This is where your imagination is invited to begin. That imagining for each of us was designed to bring us directly into the presence of God.

All Presbyterians and their friends at the University of Delaware are invited to a picnic party celebrating the end of classes before finals. We will enjoy burgers (beef and veggie), chips, sodas, design-your-own ice cream sundaes and more. White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church will be hosting with their great outdoor volleyball court.Bruce Gillette, former Perkins cook and current co-pastor of Limestone Presbyterian Church, will be the cook. This event is being sponsored by the Presbyterian Campus Ministry atthe University of Delaware. Please send your RSVP to bcgillette@comcast.net by no later than May 20th at noon so we have enough food for everyone!
