Second field report from the mission team in Louisiana

Another fine day in New Orleans. We continued the work on our houses and continue to hear story after story of people in such desperate need. We are told that the only ones really doing anything to make a difference in people's lives are the faith based institutions that are sending in volunteers to work. We are glad to be here to help.

At the house where I am working, Martin the owner brought us 10 pounds of crawfish to eat. We took a break during the afternoon and feasted on the food. He is just so grateful for us to be here working on his house. The same is true at the other house. Soon that house will be complete and he will be able to move back in.
