"Wiki" is Hawaian for "quick." A wiki is a website that is very quickly and easily edited.

You don't need to log in to read wiki pages. The "log-in" link above, and the "edit page" tabs at the top of each page are just for the editors who maintain this wiki. When you print a page from this wiki, the sidebar will not appear on your printed page, just the page's main content.

The home page of the New Castle Presbytery is not a part of this wiki but rather, the attractive "front door" through which visitors are welcomed here. You can think of this wiki as the easy-to-edit display of all the information on our presbytery's website. If you want to get back to the welcome page, use the presbytery's homepage address, http://www.ncpresbytery.org (just click the blue link above and it will take you there). But for future visits, if you want to by-pass the welcome page and come straight to this wiki, use this address: http://ncpresby.pbwiki.com.

Wiki Navigation Tips (recommended reading for new visitors):

You can find your way to the major sections of the wiki (who we are, what we do, why we do it, when we do it, where we do it, and how we pay for it) by clicking on the links in the Sidebar, to the right, which appears on every page.  You can also use express links, which are in the Sidebar and on the welcome page.

Links to other pages or resources are underlined, and in light blue. Some links will take you away from the wiki, that is, to other pages on the Internet. To get back to the wiki after exploring out there, simply click the back arrow (the one which points to the left), which is located in the top left corner of your Web browser (Internet Explorer, or Firefox, or Safari, or whatever).

Wherever you are on this wiki, you can find your way back to the FrontPage by clicking on the "home" tab at the top left of every page. So, if you get lost, you can always go home .

Another navigation aid is the small search window in the top right corner of every page. Please note that this search window is case sensitive. So, for instance, if you wanted to find the Wicomico church, you would have to type Wicomico (with a capital "W").

Suppose you are on a page that has a lot of text, like our history page, and you want to find a word or phrase there without reading all the text. Here's how: When you are at that page, press the "Control" and the "F" key simultaneously. This will bring up a small search window at the bottom of your browser. Type your search string into that small window and then press the "Enter" key. If what you are looking for is on that page, it will be highlighted and the browser will automatically scroll down so that you can see the highlighted term. Incidentally, this works for any page on the Internet, not just these wiki pages.

A final comment from our Wiki Manager: A successful website needs fresh content. We need your help in providing that. Do you have an announcement, a news article, a photo, a poem, an essay, a worship resource? Please email it to me. Constructive suggestions for improving our website are welcome too!
